Natural Baby Oil Recipe for Sensitive Skin October 05 2014
With so many brands of baby oil available to consumers these days, it's hard to figure out which ones are actually safe to use on your baby's delicate skin. Baby oil made with mineral oil, petroleum-based ingredients, and synthetic fragrances can be especially harsh on sensitive skin. Rather than going through the laborious, time-consuming task of figuring out which mass-produced baby oil you can trust, you can simply make your own natural nourishing oil for your child using just three pure nature-based ingredients.
What you'll need:
- 1 ounce Avocado Oil
- 1 ounce Jojoba Oil
- 1 ounce Apricot Kernel Oil
- 5 drops of a baby-safe essential oil such as lavender or chamomile (optional)
- 4 oz amber glass dropper bottle
Add Avocado Oil, Jojoba Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil and baby-safe essential oil (optional) to the four ounce bottle. Close bottle cap tightly. Gently roll the bottle between your palms for approximately five to ten seconds. Rub a dime-sized amount of natural baby oil between your fingertips and gently apply onto baby's skin. Repeat whenever baby's skin needs nourishment. Store natural baby oil blend in a cool dry area, out of direct sunlight.
